Our Vision

We are a collective of scientists committed to breaking down barriers between battery research and the people it impacts. 

Founded by two graduate student researchers at UC San Diego, Battery Research Breakdown was created from the belief that science should not exist in an ivory tower, hidden behind technical jargon, paywalls, or academic circles. 

Through accurate, accessible, and engaging summaries, we help readers understand incremental breakthroughs in the context of the broader field while encouraging scientists to communicate their work more openly, critically, and transparently.
